pH describes how acidic or alkaline a liquid is. pH 7 is neutral; values above 7 are alkaline. Water pH and mineral content vary by source and treatment.
An electric water ionizer uses electrolysis to process water into streams with different pH values. Output depends on source water, settings and maintenance.
Natural alkalinity can come from minerals dissolved as water moves through rocks. Mineral composition matters—not pH alone.
